
What We Did
The Challenge
Organizations like VisitDallas typically produce an official visitors guide which contains listings and ads, but minimal editorial content. VisitDallas wanted to do something different—to create an editorial-forward magazine that told Dallas’ unique stories through engaging features and artful photography designed to inspire travel to Dallas. VisitDallas had a plan to produce the content, but lacked the resources for editing, design, printing, and distribution.


Our Solution
Texas Monthly Studio partnered with VisitDallas to become the magazine’s production and distribution team with a dedicated project manager and designer, who worked together to ensure all deliverables were executed on time and to the client’s vision. To reach the client’s target markets, the refined VisitDallas magazine was polybagged with the Texas Monthly print edition. The magazine reached subscribers in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana.



Results
The VisitDallas team had a big idea, but the relationship with Texas Monthly is what turned it into a reality. It’s no understatement to say that we never could have pulled this project off without Texas Monthly’s talented team and distribution channels. Our project manager and designer felt like internal team members. They worked hard to understand our vision, and we could not have been more pleased with the finished product.
